Gulshan Kumar biopic: 'Aamir Khan still wants to be a part of it but...'

In 2019, it was reported that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan had come on board to essay the lead role in the Gulshan Kumar biopic tentatively titled 'Mogul'. There was a hurdle in the film after its director Subhash Kapoor was found involved in a sexual harassment case, due to which Aamir had opted out. However, he later agreed to go ahead with the project. Now, T-Series head Bhushan Kumar has shared an update on the biopic.  Family reservations delay Gulshan Kumar's biopic  Bhushan Kumar told Cine Connect, “We are still writing it. We were ready with it earlier, it was superb, even though we officially didn’t announce everyone knew that Aamir Khan was going to be a part of it. He still wants to, he always tells me, it is the best script he has read in recent times. But there were some reservations from the family about it, especially from my mother, she wanted to tell the story from one perspective and we wrote the script from another perspective.” Gulshan Kumar’s biopic to not whitewash events Gulshan Kumar, the founder of the T-Series music label and a Bollywood movie producer, was killed on August 12, 1997, in the Juhu area of Mumbai. Several people were arrested and prosecuted in the murder case.  Bhushan added, “Obviously, I cannot make a film on my father if my mother is not convinced about it. Once she is convinced, which she will eventually do, the world will get to witness a very inspiring story. For now, we are reworking the script. We are not whitewashing it, just revamping a few things. My mother also wants the world to know some stories about him that a lot of people don’t know.” Aamir Khan’s work front  Actors Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary, who co-starred in 'Taare Zameen Par', have reunited for a special project after 16 years. They will come together for a sequel titled 'Sitaare Zameen Par'.  'Taare Zameen Par' revolved around an eight-year-old gifted boy Ishaan. Aamir plays his art teacher who discovers Ishaan is dyslexic and helps him explore his true potential. Genelia will reportedly play a pivotal role in 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. On the production front, Aamir will serve as a producer on Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Lahore 1947', which stars Sunny Deol in the lead role.

Nimrat Kaur to reunite with Akshay Kumar for upcoming film 'Sky Force'?

Actress Nimrat Kaur has reportedly been cast in a key role in the highly anticipated project "Sky Force," starring Akshay Kumar. According to sources, Kaur will play a pivotal character in the movie, which is set to release next year. “Sky Force” will be directed by acclaimed filmmakers Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. If reports of Nimrat’s involvement are accurate, she will join Akshay, Sara Ali Khan, Veer Pahariya, and other notable actors on screen. “Sky Force” is scheduled to hit theatres on January 24. Recently, Nimrat made headlines with a humorous reel about friendships that spark jealousy amid dating rumors with her “Dasvi” co-star, Abhishek Bachchan. In the clip, the Airlift actress was seen sitting on the floor and lip-syncing to a trending dialogue: “Friendhip inni pakki honi chahiye di, loki dekhte hi jal jaye, jal jaan. Kahe 'haww', aida.” (Friendship should be so strong that people feel jealous just by looking at it. They should say, 'Wow,' like that.”) Alongside the reel, she captioned, “Meri aur KC (Karam Chand) ki dosti toh hai aisi… tag your BFF!! #friendship #bffgoals #sundaytimepass #weekendvibes #pakkadost #trendingreels.” Rumours about Nimrat dating Abhishek began circulating after an unverified Reddit claim suggested they were in a relationship. However, a source close to the Bachchan family dismissed the rumours, labelling them as “mischievous, malicious, and utter nonsense.” Addressing the speculation, Kaur stated that no matter what she does, people will talk. She explained that stopping rumours is impossible, so she chooses to stay focused on her work. On the work front, the 42-year-old actress was last seen in the film “Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video”, where she portrayed the character Bela Barot. Aamir Khan spits facts: 'If you are able to fill cinemas, then you are a star'

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in a video had defined what real stardom is and shared that it is how many seats in a theater a star can fill.  In a video, which is currently doing the rounds on social media, Aamir was in conversation with Hollywood Reporter and spoke about what stardom means today and how social media affects or impacts star quality. In the clip, Aamir could be seen saying: “The real stardom is how many seats do you fill? If you are able to fill cinemas, then you are a star. Otherwise, I may love you but I may not come and see your film. He is also a star, I am not saying he is not a star. People who cannot perhaps fill seats are also stars.” “But in my understanding, like as a producer, if I am signing a star, then I expect him to fill seats. Otherwise, why am I taking him? As a star, as an actor, I might need a person who has a certain personality. But if I am looking for a star for a film, I am making a big budget film, I need a star. I need someone who can fill seats.” Aamir said that he cannot take all the credit for the 2009 blockbuster “3 Idiots”, a coming-of-age comedy-drama film directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film was adapted loosely from Chetan Bhagat's novel Five Point Someone. The film stars Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani and Omi Vaidya appear in pivotal roles. “It doesn't matter to me how popular the person is otherwise. You have to be able to fill, for example, a film like 3 Idiots. As a star, I can't take credit for the overall success of the film. That is, the director, the producer, the writer, the entire crew has made a film that is connected with people.” He shared that a star can be defined by the opening he is able to pull. “I can take credit only for the first 3 days of bringing people in. So, it's the opening that a star, a star can be defined by the opening he is able to pull. Otherwise, the film works. See, there are so many films which don't open well but they do great business. The film has worked. And the actor in it may or may not have filled the seats. But despite that, the film has worked.” This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies. Chunky Panday: 'Never did a feel-good film like Vijay 69 before'

Actor Chunky Panday says his latest release, Vijay 69, gave him a chance to break his image as a comedic actor through an emotional role. The film, starring Anupam Kher in the title role, follows the journey of Vijay, a 69-year-old man, who defies societal expectations by training for a triathlon and refusing to let age limit his ambitions. In the film, written and directed by Akshay Roy, Panday plays the role of Kher’s friend. “A slice-of-life, feel-good film is something that I’ve never done before, and this is the first time I got a chance to play a role like this. I was a little confused in the beginning. I did want to play it in my commercial way—over the top—but they both [Kher and Roy] hand-held me and told me to take it easy, and calm down,” the actor told PTI. Panday said he got stereotyped in light-hearted roles due to his past characters. “Some people also call me a comedian, and I love that.” This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies.
