The actor, who won accolades for his portrayal of Milkha Singh in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' recalled the time when a woman from Chandigarh had an issue with him playing the part and wanted a Punjabi actor to play it instead. Talking about it, Farhan said, "I thought that if she feels this way, there surely must be others who felt that way too. It actually served as a great motivation; I was thankful that she said it."
Farhan also revealed that his directorial debut, 'Dil Chahta Hai', was titled 'Hum Teen' in the beginning. Later, when the name was changed, dad Javed Akhtar helped him make sense of the seemingly 'incomplete' film title that he thought 'Dil Chahta Hai' was.
