The winners of this year’s singles events at the French Open stand to earn USD2.32 million (approx Rs 17.54 crore) each, the organisers announced on Wednesday.

After two years affected by COVID-19 when the prize-money dipped it is now almost on a par with 2019 when Rafael Nadal and Ashleigh Barty pocketed 2.3 million euros each for their wins.
The overall prize money for this year’s Roland Garros, which runs from May 22 to June 5, has gone up to 43.6 million euros.
