Mumbai: Aditi Dhumatkar, who holds three national and six state records, won the 5000m Khar Gymkhana Open Swimming Gala for the sixth time yesterday, breaking her own record of 1:01:21.00 by clocking 0:59:52.00.

In the process, she became the first female swimmer to go under one hour. Aditi led the race from start to finish while Kanchi Desai settled for silver.
Meanwhile, Vedant Rao clinched the 5000m gold in the in the men's section and Ishaan Jaffer finished first in the boys U-16 5000m event.
