Don Bosco trounce Arya Vidya Mandir 4-0

The Bosco lads came into their own in the second session and pumped in three goals to register their second successive win in this group. They had earlier defeated St Xavier’s (Fort) 3-0 last week.

Don Bosco High School (Borivli) carved out another impressive performance to record a fluent 4-0 win over VCW Arya Vidya Mandir High School (Bandra) in a MSSA boys U-16 Div-II Group ‘D’ match, at the St Francis D’Assisi High School ground, Borivli on Friday.


The Arya Vidya Mandir boys did well to keep the Borivli attackers under control in the opening half and restricted them to scoring just a solitary goal which came from the boots of Dherrya Solanki in the 21st minute.


The Bosco lads came into their own in the second session and pumped in three goals to register their second successive win in this group. They had earlier defeated St Xavier’s (Fort) 3-0 last week.

Saket Gauroue scored the second with a direct free-kick in the 37th minute and two minutes later, Agnelo F added the third. Later, captain and attacking central midfielder Jaoen Alex struck the fourth with a long range effort in the 48th minute.
