Seventy-four-year-old Aurelio Jimenez has sued FIFA because of the emotional and physical distress caused to him by bad refereeing. Jimenez says he had to be taken to hospital with cardiac problems because of referee Carlos Velasco Carballo's mistakes in Brazil's quarter-final win over Colombia.
Jimenez said he suffered distress because the match had many bad tackles, mostly aimed at Colombian striker James Rodriguez.
"I'm suing FIFA in the Colombian judiciary system because at the World Cup in Brazil, there were many wrongdoings by referees, who damaged many countries, and among them Colombia team," Jimenez said.
