Mumbai Cricket Association’s (MCA) elections, scheduled for September 28, may get a new date after a few members raised an issue about the voters’ eligibility list at the Annual General Meeting at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.

“That process [to decide the list of eligible voters] will be done by an election officer. He will define the voters list,” MCA secretary Sanjay Naik told mid-day after the marathon four-hour meeting that was also attended by former MCA presidents, Sharad Pawar and Ashish Shelar, among others.

Meanwhile, MCA president Dr Vijay Patil has said that he is satisfied with his tenure as the association’s chief. “My term was very satisfactory. For the last six-seven years, we had seen a downward trend,” said Patil.
