Mumbai's Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar was honoured last Sunday when a ground in Louisville, USA was named after him. The little master was present at the inauguration at Hays Kennedy Park. The Sunil M Gavaskar Field came about due to the efforts of Louisville Cricket Club and Louisville mayor, Greg Fischer.

Louisville is known to the sporting world as the birthplace of late boxing icon Muhammad Ali and the Americans have been told that Gavaskar is the Muhammad Ali of world cricket. Gavaskar was at the Muhammad Ali Center on Sunday evening where he addressed American and Indian cricket lovers and of course, posed for this image.
