Shocking visuals have emerged from Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur where Naxals were killed in a chilling encounter. 30 Naxals were killed in the encounter. Reportedly, the security forces struck the jungles when the Naxals were busy in a tactical meeting. One jawaan was also killed in the encounter. It is worthy to be noted that Home Minister Amit Shah in a recent speech in the Rajya Sabha vowed to eliminate Naxalism by March 2026.
22 March,2025 02:36 PM ISTOn February 9, 31 Naxalites were killed in a clash with security forces in the forested National Park area of Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. During the operation, the security forces also found weapons and explosives. Sadly, two security personnel lost their lives—one from the District Reserve Guard and another from the Special Task Force. Two other jawans were injured in the encounter. The identification of the killed Naxalites is still in progress. A search operation is currently ongoing in the area to ensure safety and gather more information.
10 February,2025 09:52 AM ISTIn a successful three-day operation in Gariaband, Chhattisgarh, soldiers confirmed the death of 16 Naxals after intense fighting. The operation, which started in Kulhadighat and Bhaludiggi hills, involved heavy clashes with Naxals. The soldiers, who returned to their base after completing the mission, celebrated by chanting "Bharat Mata Ki Jai." A soldier shared that the operation began in Kulhadighat and Bhaludiggi hills, with fierce battles taking place over the past three days. On the first day, 14 Naxal bodies were recovered, and two more were killed the following day. Visuals from the spot where 8 Dantewada DRG jawans and their driver, lost their lives after their vehicle was blown up by naxals through an IED blast, in Bijapur have surfaced. They were returning after a joint operation of Dantewada, Narayanpur and Bijapur.
07 January,2025 01:21 PM ISTIn an encounter with the security forces, 10 Naxals were killed in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma. The encounter broke out between the DRG and Naxals. Chhattisgarh Deputy CM Vijay Sharma briefed about the encounter and said that 10 naxal bodies have been recovered. Earlier in the day, IG Sundarraj said that the exchange of fire had been underway since morning and a search operation was underway. Security forces were seen celebrating the major victory with a dance following the encounter.

05 October,2024 03:39 PM ISTIn a recent encounter in the forests of Abujhmad, Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district, security forces engaged with Naxalites over the past two days, resulting in the deaths of at least eight Naxalites. According to IG Bastar P Sundarraj, eight bodies of Naxalites were recovered, while three security personnel sustained injuries. Tragically, one security personnel lost his life, and the remaining two injured were airlifted to Raipur for treatment, with reports indicating they are now stable. The operation highlights ongoing tensions in the region, where security forces continue to confront Naxalite insurgents in efforts to maintain peace and order.
16 June,2024 11:57 AM ISTA fierce gun-battle broke out between security forces and Naxalites ahead of sixth phase of Lok Sabha Polls 2024. In major crackdown on extremists, security forces killed 8 Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada since May 23. Based on inputs, DRG and STF launched coordinated search ops in the area which later turned into encounter. Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated security forces highlighting Govt’s committed to putting an end to Naxalism. Earlier on April 16, as many as 29 Naxals were gunned down in a massive encounter in Chhattisgarh Kanker. Later, Home Minister Amit Shah on April 17 said that “Naxalism will be uprooted from the country”. Meanwhile, massive encounter is still underway in the area and more updates will follow.

06 May,2024 01:06 PM ISTOne of the largest operations carried out by security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker in which 29 Naxalites were gunned down and huge quantities of arms and ammunition were also recovered. On the Kanker encounter, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "Yesterday, security forces achieved great success in Chhattisgarh. Ever since Modi ji became the Prime Minister, the BJP government has launched a continuous campaign against Naxalism and terrorism.” IG Bastar P Sundarraj said, "Yesterday, an encounter broke out between security forces and Naxalites which lasted for around 4 hours. Teams of DRG and BSF cordoned off the area and as a result, 29 bodies of CPI Maoists were recovered, out of which 15 were female and 14 were male. Arms and ammunition were recovered in large quantities from the spot. The autopsy of bodies of the Maoists are underway."
