The Deshmukh family cast their votes at a polling booth in Latur, Maharashtra. After voting, the actors spoke outside the booth, encouraging citizens to practice their right to vote. Genelia shared, "This is an important day. Voting is crucial. Every citizen must go out and vote. I think this is very important." Riteish stated, “I came to Latur from Mumbai to cast my vote. Everyone should step out of their homes and cast their votes. Today is an important day. Everyone should definitely vote.”

The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has unanimously decided to leave the selection of the new Karnataka Chief Minister to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Congress’ National Spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala said, “Two resolutions were passed in the CLP meeting today. One resolution was presented by DK Shivakumar thanking Karnataka people and other Congress leaders for their support in the stellar performance in Karnataka Assembly elections. The other was presented by Siddaramaiah which asked the CLP to leave the selection of the new Karnataka Chief Minister to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge which was endorsed by everybody.”
