In a tragic incident, a ferry boat with 80 passengers and five crew members onboard capsized near Elephanta Caves after a small speedboat crashed into the vessel, which was carrying more than 80 passengers. At least one passenger has been confirmed dead in the incident. The Indian Navy launched the search-and-rescue operation in coordination with the Coast Guard and Marine Police.
18 December,2024 07:11 PM ISTIn a tragic incident, a motorcyclist was severely injured after a crane fell on the eastern expressway. The crane was traveling towards Bhandup from Alibaug on a trailer along the eastern expressway. While descending the Ghatkopar bridge, the trailer's rope snapped, causing the crane to fall onto the road below. A motorcyclist came under the crane, and his legs were severed from his body. He has been admitted to Sion Hospital for treatment. The Ghatkopar bridge has been closed for traffic for the last six hours, and traffic is being diverted via the service road.

Mumbai police called it a prima facie suicide case, but her relative Vivek Tuli, while speaking to ANI, denied this possibility and said that she cannot commit suicide. He further said that based on his investigations their might be a case of blackmail, which ultimately led to her death.

While speaking to ANI, he suggested nominating Eknath Shinde to the central cabinet. "When Eknath Shinde came to know that the BJP high command has selected Devendra Fadnavis as the CM (of Maharashtra), he was a bit unhappy, which I can understand. But, BJP has got 132 seats and hence I think there should be a way, Devendra Fadnavis should be made the CM. Eknath Shinde can assume the charge of deputy CM.
