In a massive construction leap for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Corridor bullet train project, 300 km of viaducts have now been completed. The track laying has begun — 157 km of RC track beds have been laid so far. This ambitious project in collaboration with Japan is poised to revolutionise India’s rail infrastructure. Once operational, the bullet train will significantly reduce travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad to approximately two hours, a significant decrease from the current six-hour journey by conventional rail with a top speed of 320 km/h.
