A snake was found inside the chambers of Justice NR Bokar of the Bombay High Court on Friday.

As per a report in Bar and Bench, it was a non-venomous snake which was 4.5 to 5 feet long. It was discovered early morning on Friday when the judge was not in his chambers.

As per officials, after the snake was found, police staff was informed who then contacted an NGO - SarpMitra (friend of the snake). An official from the NGO arrived and rescued the snake. It will be released at appropriate premises, said the NGO official.

Bombay HC is currently holding hearings virtually due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra and there is reduced footfall in High Court due to the same.
