Mohile Parikh Center is set to organise a film appreciation course that looks at the work of Stanley Kubrick. Starting mid-March, the course will involve the screening of Dr Strangelove (1964), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) and A Clockwork Orange (1971), followed by an in-depth analysis of each film to explore his contribution to world cinema. The sessions will examine Kubrick’s humanistic and philosophical explorations of themes that continue to dominate our lives — war, the politics of domination, the creation of intelligence, violence, morality and state control.
