Indian film director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri recently expressed his joy over the overwhelming response garnered by Oppenheimer in Kashmir, a film which is based on the life of American theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer. Furthermore, he announced that his own science-focused movie, The Vaccine War, co-produced with Pallavi Joshi, is also slated for release in Kashmir, a region where cinema houses once faced cinematic and creative bans and destruction in the '90s.

In a jubilant social media post, Agnihotri said, "BRILLIANT NEWS! Cinema halls were once burnt and banned in the 90s, but today, it's heartening to witness the first film to fill houses is a science-based one like 'Oppenheimer.' Science truly has the power to captivate and inspire, and I couldn't be happier for the makers of that incredible film!"

Agnihotri's pride was evident as he elaborated on the upcoming release of his own film in the region, stating, "I am glad that our science film #TheVaccineWar #ATrueStory will also be released in Kashmir." He shared his heartfelt appreciation for the support from the local community, particularly the young Kashmiri populace, stating, "I have been assured by the resilient and forward-thinking Kashmiri youth, especially the women, that they will be proud to witness India's biggest scientific achievement on the big screen."

Agnihotri's excitement for the release of his science-oriented film, "The Vaccine War," is matched by his gratitude for the opportunity to premiere it in Kashmir. Despite the region's tumultuous history with cinema, Agnihotri sees this release as an important marker of progress and resilience. The introduction of a science-based film like The Vaccine War in Kashmir signifies not just an evolution in film but also as opportunity for Kashmir's people to enjoy entertainment more uninhibitedly and sink into the entertainment landscape.

On the professional front, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is eagerly preparing for his upcoming projects, which include The Kashmir Files Unreported and The Vaccine War, promising an intriguing roster of science-influenced storytelling to come.
