PeeCee voices anger
Priyanka Chopra Jonas has voiced her opinion on the case of sexual violence against women in Manipur. “It took a video going viral, 77 days after the heinous crimes were committed, before action was taken. Reason? None matters, irrespective of what and why, situational or circumstantial, we cannot allow women to be pawns in any game. The collective shame and anger need to be channelled now in a unified voice for swift justice,” she shared on social media while discussing the Manipur case. Kiara Advani, Akshay Kumar, Richa Chadha and Kareena Kapoor Khan are other actors who have condemned the case and urged for action.
Main apna favourite hoon
Television actor Sheezan Khan, who is known for shows such as Jodha Akbar, Tara From Satara and Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul, spoke about his experience of spending a decade in the industry and shared some advice to newcomers. The actor said, “It’s a field of insecurities. People are friends in front of society, but they are the ones who get insecure the most. You would never know who your actual friend is until you are in a difficult situation and need help. I think it’s better to be on your own. I prefer being with myself, which is one of the reasons why I don’t have many friends in this industry.”
Prabhas doesn’t inspire?
After the first glimpse of Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD was unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con, a section of social media was seen comparing the film to Hollywood movies such as Dune, and tagging it as a “cheap copy”. The actor’s look had received a lot of trolling, with him being tagged as ‘sasta Iron Man’. The glimpse of Kalki 2898 AD — so far referred to as Project K — showed a dystopian world, where stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas seem to be warriors in a war-like situation. Dressed in a metallic outfit, Prabhas appears as a saviour. Users on social media platforms were critical of the first glimpse. Cinephiles had earlier compared Prabhas’s look to that of Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man.
