The black comedy Ludo and drama film Thappad top the charts with 16 and 15 nominations, respectively.

Filmfare Awards is back with its 66th edition this year, thus, raising the anticipation levels by announcing the nominees of the much-adored awards.

Ruling the roost with the most nominations are the black comedy, Ludo, and the family drama, Thappad, which bagged a resounding sixteen and fifteen nominations, respectively. While all eyes shall be on these two films to see who takes home the most accolades, the nominees for the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) and Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) promises to be a neck-to-neck competition.
Winning hearts aplenty with their power-packed performances, superstars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Ayushmann Khurrana, Irrfan, Rajkummar Rao and Sushant Singh Rajput make the cut for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male). Similarly, there is no clear favourite as Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Taapsee Pannu and Vidya Balan completed the list of nominees in the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) category.
