Musician Vishal Dadlani vents his ire on his blog on Mumbaikars who did not vote 
Musician Vishal Dadlani says he is ashamed of Mumbai. He says on his Facebook account that he misses when the city was called Bombay, when the voter turnout was 60 per cent.
Incensed with the city's dismal turnout on voting day, "after all that the city has had to go through last year, I mean what the f*ck dude!"
All through voting day, the musician, who is one half of the Bollywood duo Vishal-Shekhar, went apoplectic on his Facebook status updates (see box) as the figures rolled in.
By the end of it he was angry because "Some people made this an extended weekend."
Fortunately, however, "No one has come and told me on my face because if they do I will kick their teeth in."
His message for those who did not vote, "If a weekend is more important than the future of our country then f*ck you man!"
Vishal has an explanation for their misbehaviour, "Bombay doesn't have a culture. People who take much away from the city need to give something back as well and that's not happening and it is just sad."
He offered a solution to this problem, "We need to start giving a f*ck about this city if it is going to grow!"
Vishal then goes on to another subject of topical importance: A telecom company's ZooZoo characters. He says, "ZooZoo symbolises the nothingness of our minds. It's like dumb sh*t has become a way of life for people in this country. Personally, I think they are irritating."
He said he felt the same distaste for ZooZoo characters that he did for pretty dolls.
"Don't you see a Barbie doll and want to break her neck?" Vishal asks.
