Mumbai Crime: Man masturbates while staring at married female neighbour

In a shocking incident, a 37-year-old man allegedly masturbated in front of his married neighbor. The police said that the woman who filed the complaint was alone at home at the time of the incident and had come out to her balcony to dry clothes as per reports by the Hindustan Times.

An officer from the Santacruz police station said that the man started masturbating while staring at the woman from his apartment. When the woman saw this, she got scared and rush back into her home. She immediately informed her husband of the incident.

The woman’s husband, on returning home in the evening approached the Santacruz police, and lodged a complaint. The police have filed a case under section 354 A (sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code

The man was arrested the next day, and was produced before the magistrate’s court. He was subsequently remanded to police custody and then judicial custody. As per the accused’s lawyer, the man is being falsely implicated owing to past enmity.
