Meanwhile, Deelip Kumar of the EME Sailing Association (EMESA), Secunderabad, came out all guns blazing, winning all five races (a first place is called a 'gun' in sailing parlance) in the Laser Standard class, adding to the two races he won on Friday to take a commanding lead.
In 420s, Deep Rekhi and M Vidya of the Royal Madras Yacht Club (RMYC) stayed ahead of their club compatriots Chinna and S Varun, coming first in three races and ceding two. In Laser Radials, Sachin Singha of EMESA split honours with Ramya Sarvanan (CESC) and Israj Ali (EMESA).
