Islam Gymkhana showed tremendous resilience to clinch a two-run win over MCA Colts in a first round match of the Bombay Gymkhana-organised Nirlon RFS Talyarkhan Memorial Invitation Cricket Tournament at the Bombay Gymkhana ground on Friday.

MCA Colts all-rounder Shivam Dubey impressed with five wickets for just six runs, which included a hat-trick and a composed 20-ball 30 runs, but his efforts went in vain.

Put in to bat, Islam Gymkhana amassed 142 all out in 18.4 overs. Middle-order batsman Raunaq Sharma top scored with 44 (36-balls, 3x4, 2x6), while Sagar Jadhav contributed a 14-ball 28. Dhanit Raut picked 3-34.
