The IPL 2025 final is set to unfold at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will lock horns with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in a high-stakes contest for their maiden IPL title.
Adding to the excitement, former RCB star and crowd favourite Chris Gayle has arrived in Gujarat to witness the highly anticipated showdown. Gayle, a towering figure in the league’s history, represented Bengaluru in 92 matches, amassing 3,420 runs. His explosive batting included an iconic unbeaten 175, still the highest individual score in IPL history, along with five centuries and 21 half-centuries.

Beyond his RCB legacy, Gayle remains the undisputed king of six-hitting in the IPL. Over 142 matches, the 45-year-old hammered a record-breaking 357 sixes, a feat unmatched by any player in the tournament’s history.
Joining the celebrations, legendary RCB batter AB de Villiers is also expected to make an appearance at the stadium, lending his support to the franchise with which he has built a storied legacy.
As RCB prepare for the ultimate clash, the team is hopeful of Tim David’s return to the playing XI. The middle-order batsman has missed the last two matches due to a hamstring injury but remains a crucial asset for the Bengaluru outfit. Meanwhile, the spotlight will firmly be on Virat Kohli, whose experience and form will be vital for RCB’s title ambitions.
On the other hand, riding high on confidence, Punjab will enter the clash with an aim to clinch their first-ever title. Skipper Shreyas Iyer played a captain’s knock in their previous outing against Mumbai Indians, steering his team to a convincing win. He will be key once again as PBKS look to seize their first IPL crown
