Former Pakistan opener Aamer Sohail kicked up a storm by indirectly claiming that his home country's team fixed the matches in the Champions Trophy. Aamer Sohail then went on to retract his statements
Sohail came down heavily on Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, during an interview with a Pakistani news channel.
According to SportsCafe, Sohail said Pakistan's victory in the Champions Trophy so far was because, "someone [from outside the team] is winning them matches." Aamer Sohail accused the Pakistan cricket team of being 'forced' by someone from the outside to win the games.
Aamer Sohail's apparent allegations follow Sarfraz Ahmed's comments after Pakistan's victory over England by eight wickets, after which they entered their maiden Champions Trophy final. Ahmed insisted he always believed his side could turn their fortunes around.

"It's a cause of great pride and happiness for myself and for the entire Pakistan nation," said Sarfraz Ahmed after the semi-final triumph. "It was a team no one gave a chance, neither here nor back home," added the 30-year-old wicket-keeper. "No one thought we'd reach the final," he added.

What made their win all the more impressive was that it came just 10 days after Pakistan's 124-run hammering by India. But just three days later Pakistan, the lowest-ranked side in a tournament, bounced back to defeat number one South Africa and Sri Lanka enroute to the last four.
The remarkable result also made a mockery of pre-tournament talk and predictions as the eighth-ranked Pakistan pummeled title favourites England to reach the final at The Oval.
Aamer Sohail, however, received major flak on social media website Twitter for his statements against the Pakistan cricket team.
