Opener Sumit Ghadigaonkar slammed 193 off 165 balls as MIG Cricket Club registered a massive 212-run win over United Cricketers in a Padmakar Talim Shield match at Cross Maidan yesterday. Put into bat, MIG posted 373 for seven in 45 overs. Ghadigaonkar provided ideal foundation for MIG with 82-run opening stand with Swapnil Salvi (15).
He also put on 183 with Siddharth Chitnis (51) off just 116 balls. The right-handed batsman hit 25 fours and seven sixes. In reply, United Cricketers could only manage to reach 161 for eight. Right-handed batsman Ishan Mulchandani (38) top scored for United Cricketers. For MIG , left-arm spinner Vijay Gohil claimed four for 28 while pacer Nikhil Date picked up three for 28. In another match, centuries from openers Aakarshit Gomel (153* off 118) and Bravish Shetty (118 off 77) helped Parsee Gymkhana beat Fort Vijay CC by 287 runs at Parsee Gymkhana.
