Mumbai monsoon: MHADA declares 96 buildings in Mumbai as extremely dangerous

The buildings are old, dilapidated, and considered unsafe for living. A total of 3,162 people live or work in these buildings – 2,577 residential and 585 non-residential occupants, an official statement said

Ahead of the monsoon season, Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has released a list of 96 cessed buildings in Mumbai that have been declared as extremely dangerous after the annual pre-monsoon survey, an official statement said on Wednesday.

Two of the buildings in the list issued on May 21 were also listed last year.
