To counter the ongoing blood shortage in the city, the Malad Medical Association (MMA) organised a blood donation camp at Suchak Hospital, Malad East, and at Thunga Hospital, Malad West, a few days ago. A 12-member team from JJ Hospital blood bank helped in conducting the event which resulted in 119 bottles of blood getting collected from healthy donors.

The MMA president, Dr Harshad Joshi, and the general secretary, Dr Shalin Soni, thanked the trustees Dr Anil Suchak, Dr Sanjeev Maniar, Dr Ketan Mehta and immediate past president Dr Manoj Rajani who attended the event. Special mention was made of Dr Rajesh Jain, Dr Naresh Dandekar, Dr Sathish Shetty and Dr Aarti Vyas whose enthusiastic participation made the event a success.

The participating doctors included Hemal Maniar, Rajesh Panchal, Priti Mehta, Saloni Suchak, Suraj Suchak, Prakash Tiwari, Mohini Velapurkar, Bhavna Bhanji, Aditi Agrawal, and Gayatri Gambhir. Courtesy a donor, around 600 N95 masks were also distributed at the event.
