Residents complained about the shortage of water and said that the scarcity affected their everyday schedules.

Sanjay Shah, a resident of Malabar Hill, said, "Our society calls for water tankers daily, but the hard water damages the skin and hair. However, we have no other option but to use the water." He further added that even after paying so much tax to the government they had to endure these water cuts.

Echoing similar sentiments was Kavita Chawla, who resides in Vaibhav Apartments at Breach Candy. "Ten years ago we never had to order for water tankers.

But as time passed more high-rises were constructed, increasing the demand for water. The water deficiency has become more evident with the number of tankers being called everyday."

Residents complain that it is not only the water cut that they have to endure but also the quality of water that they are provided by the tanker. Many people have complained about the brownish colour of the water.

The BMC has informed that other areas in the western and central suburbs will also have to endure water shortage for another three days, because of the renovation work.
