A heated argument, which escalated into a fight between partygoers and the bouncers of a posh Bandra pub, over music that was stopped at 1 am, kept police officials on their toes the entire night.
According to the Khar police, E Lobo, 26, and her friend Sudhakar Sarkar had gone to Casa Vito Bar and Cafe at Linking Road last night. "Around 1 am, when the music stopped, Lobo and her friends confronted the management and asked them to continue playing the music. The argument took an ugly turn when the bouncers and the customers broke into a minor scuffle, and Lobo injured her nails," said an official with the Khar police.

By 1.30 am, both parties were spotted at the police station. Soon after, Lobo was sent to the BMC-run Bhabha Hospital for a medical examination. An FIR was registered against one of the bouncers after two hours of questioning. "We have registered a case against the bouncer of the bar under sections 323 and 324 of the IPC for voluntarily causing hurt. An investigation is in progress," an official said.
According to the police, Sarkar also suffered a minor injury to his leg. "But, it happened while he was climbing the staircase or getting into a lift," the official added.
The police will also be examining CCTV camera footage from the pub, in order to verify what exactly happened.
The management of Casa Vito Bar and Cafe refused to comment on the issue.
