January 20, Saturday


>> A tale on comics
Kids: INDIE Comic Scene will witness founder of The 
Comic Book Store, Hamza Sayed take children through the lengths and breadths of the graphic universe.

>> Thirty years of excellence
Dance: Khankana-The sound of dancing feet includes celebrated pieces from over the last three decades by choreographer Surupa Sen. Skilled Nrityagram artistes from Bengaluru will showcase a unique sensibility of thought and movement.

Urban design and architecture: A seven-day exhibition and workshops that explore representation in the negotiation of access to infrastructure by communities within SGNP and Aarey

Literature: Join Javed Akhtar and Nasreen Munni Kabir as they decode the process of chronicling a life in the arts with Sathya Saran. In their chat, they will examine how relationships and struggles translate on paper, on screen, and into the hearts of millions.

Music: German drummer Jo Beyer’s jazz band, JO, will get the city grooving to their improvised contemporary jazz.

>> Rebellion on stage
Theatre: Prashant Nigade’s I. M. Punglya Sharukya Agimahul unfolds the poignant tale of love, struggles, rebellion, humanity and survival in the Fase Pardhi community.

>> A tribute to the ’90s
Street: Enjoy an evening with  old Hindi and English numbers from the golden era of music.
