The new ASUS VA326H gaming monitor has great potential, but its price is the biggest let down

It's no secret that gamers like to spend money on their rigs and after forking out big bucks on a graphics card, you may need something equally good to view all that computing power on. This is where a great monitor can be crucial.
The ASUS VA326H is a great example of a good gaming monitor. It is a huge 32-inch monitor with viewing angles of 178-degrees, a 144Hz refresh rate, a high contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and an ultra-low blue light output, which is meant to protect your eyes.
The most notable feature, however, is the 1,800R curved panel. The panel is very immersive when you are sitting close to the monitor and it definitely draws you into the game, which is great for most FPS, RTS and MOBA.
However, if you play with friends from a distance, the curvature has no role to play. That said, the curvature is not a hindrance either, which means it works like any other monitor at the given distance.
The monitor has three inputs — DVI, HDMI and VGA, and while this is appreciated, it would have been better to have a DVI and two HDMIs instead as most modern computers have abandoned the archaic VGA display port.
Everything on this monitor is controlled by one tiny joystick at the back. While it is convenient, the joystick is very sensitive.
Overall, the ASUS VA326H is a wonderful gaming monitor with a sweet three-year warranty, one that we would totally recommend if it weren't for the pricing. There are similarly competing products that retail for cheaper.
