He was called a 'cursed painter', ignored and disparaged, until it was acknowledged that it was his works that paved the way for a radically different world of arts in the 20th century. Watch a documentary that offers an insight into the life and oeuvre of French post-Impressionist artist Paul cezanne. Presented by Dr Bhau Daji Lad Mumbai city Museum in partnership with Alliance Francaise de Bombay, The Victory of cezanne by Jacques Deschamps follows the artist, who later came to be known as the inventor of abstraction with record-breaking pieces on the art market. He had a characteristic style of repetitive, exploratory brushstrokes that he used adeptly to create complex fields. The master was also known for an intense study of his subjects.
