Bigg Boss 14 Week 10 Highlights: Vikas Gupta, Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah's entry changes equations
The ninth week was a roller-coaster ride for Bigg Boss 14 contestants. It saw Kavita Kaushik storming out of the house, Rahul Vaidya leaving the show and Pavitra Punia and Aly Goni been eliminated. And this week turned out to be spicier than expected. (All images: Bigg Boss PR).
The tenth week began on a sad note for Nikki Tamboli. During the Weekend ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan announced that her stint in the Bigg Boss 14 house has finally come to an end. This made Nikki emotional, who was seen crying as she left the house.
Rahul Vaidya also left the show. Rahul penned a note to express his gratitude through a statement. "To all my fans and well-wishers, this journey that I embarked upon has been nothing short of a dream," the note read. "From the trends to all the messages I received... you all made me feel so loved. I'm so glad that I could entertain you all and seeing your response has made me realise how huge our fandom has become. Your relentless love, support and admiration has been overwhelming and I can't thank you all enough. Big love and blessings to you all," he added. The singer ended the note by signing off as, "Aapka Rahul Vaidya."
Aly Goni was next to go out of the house. Aly's girlfriend Jasmin, who has been appreciated time and again for her honesty and fairness, made a confession in front of the entire world on television. During the Weekend Ka Vaar episode with Salman Khan, Kashmera Shah, and Vikas Gupta, when the latter asked the actress about her relationship status with Aly Goni, who is no more part of the show, she couldn't help but confess their love. The duo is said to be together for the past three years.
Jasmin was further seen saying, "Vo pyaar ke liye aaya, pyaar ke liye chala gaya, I am lucky that somebody loves me so much. Usne kasam di aur mai maan gayi." (He came inside for love and left for love. He gave me his swear, and I agreed). Speaking further about her relationship, Jasmin said that they have been together for the past three years and whatever Aly says, ultimately she gives in to it because that has been the base of their relationship. Jasmin also said that anything related to Aly becomes sensitive because it is personal to her.
Later, we saw some new contestants entering the house. And not one, or two or three, but five. And not just contestants, but challengers. Led by Mastermind Vikas Gupta, Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Manu Punjabi, Arshi Khan, and Rahul Mahajan entered the house, posing a challenge to the remaining contestants!
During the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, we also saw Krushna Abhishek giving us a much-needed dose of laughter. Krushna Abhishek roasted the challengers including his own wife Kashmera Shah. Vikas, Rakhi and Rahul were also not spared as Krushna made some rather fun observations about the challengers.
The Challengers' entry began with them observing the current housemates, and the challengers had to burst the bubble of the contestants that they would be taking on. Vikas started with bursting Abhinav’s bubble, while Rakhi took on Rubina and Jasmin! Kashmera was seen as challenging Eijaz and things just got more exciting from thereon.
Vikas Gupta told the current contestants that he would show them a trailer of what sort of a storm the challengers were planning to bring in the house of Bigg Boss. The housemates were all lined-up, and the challengers picked their targets and dropped a bucket of flour on them! Jasmin was the first contestant to have a load of white powder dumped on her. Next, Rahul chose Rubina who got a dump of flour dropped on her as well. Vikas chose Abhinav, while Arshi decided to dump the flour on Rubina!
It was not just about challengers versus the current housemates. The challengers themselves had a whole lot of scores to settle. The word Frenemies got introduced and we could already see sparks fly between Rakhi and Arshi!
On Tuesday, Bigg Boss gave the contestants the first task of the week. Rahul, who was declared the King of the house had to choose a captain and the contestants had already started negotiating with him for the post. Right from Vikas to Arshi to Jasmin, just about everyone was seen instructing Rahul on who he should appoint as the Captain! Rahul was seen hearing every contestant out about who they feel deserved to be the captain.
While Kashmera felt that the Challengers needed to have a captain from among them, Abhinav told Rahul to not choose Eijaz as all his work would then had to be done by Rahul himself.
Soon enough, Eijaz, Arshi, Manu and Rubina were seen in a heated discussion about who should Rahul nominate as the captain. Eijaz accused Rubina of having a weak game and being an ineffective player!
The game was on in full swing and the Challengers and the existing contestants had already started to form new teams. Jasmin was the first one to take note of this and she accused Rahul of turning to groupism rather than playing his independent game.
Wednesday started with Arshi ordering Vikas to help to mash potatoes. Vikas replied asking her not to pester him for work. Arshi took it personally and told the housemates that Vikas was on a secret task and she was well aware of all his moves.
Vikas got agitated and warned Arshi to mind her own business and not to comment on him. The argument heated up and while Vikas pointed a finger at Arshi she slapped his hand. This didn't go well with Vikas forcing Eijaz to step in and resolved their fight.
Later in the day, Bigg Boss announced a nomination task where the contestants were divided into two groups. The task was about a display window of the shop where two contestants were standing as mannequins. The teams had to spoil the glass display window of the other team and each team had to protect their display while destroying that of others. Manu was the Sanchalak in this game as he was also the captain. Arshi Khan showed her confidence that she wanted to win the game by all means.
In this task, Abhinav and Rubina were put in opposite teams, and once the task started, Abhinav was put in one window while Rubina in another. In the first round, Manu decided to favour Abhinav which ticked off Rubina. She blamed Manu to be an unfair captain.
In the next round, Kashmera and Eijaz locked horns as they got into a brawl and Eijaz pinned Kashmera down during the task. Jasmin got furious and she and Eijaz got into a verbal spat.
It's has been not even a week and the challengers have already consolidated their place in the house. They have gauged the contestants and have started making alliances to strengthen their game. What will happen to the old bondings? Will the new challengers be able to adjust themselves? One thing is for sure, the eleventh week inside the house will be full of emotions, action, drama, romance and more fights.
