Juggling two daily soaps may be difficult, but Manit Joura makes it seem like a cakewalk. The actor took a break from Kundali Bhagya before coming on board Prem Bandhan. Four months into the new show, he has reprised his role of Rishabh Luthra on the Ekta Kapoor-backed show. He says that his familiarity with the world of Kundali Bhagya is one of the reasons he can straddle the two shows with ease.

“I have spent so much time with Rishabh Luthra that I know [the character] inside out. When I know I am not going in the right direction, there is a sense of alarm. But then, the directors on set guide us back to the right path. There is no overlap of the two characters nor do I get confused. As an actor, I will never allow myself to bite more than I can chew,” says Joura, who plays a mentally-challenged character in Prem Bandhan.

Television and OTT apart, the actor has also worked in films, including Band Baaja Baaraat, Love Shagun, Solo, and Falsafa: The Other Side. Yet to make a mark in the world of movies, he is undeterred by the lack of opportunities. “I don’t get [disappointed] by that. Instead, I push myself to work harder, telling myself that perhaps the right time hasn’t come or [my skill set] is probably lacking. If I look back at my career, I have come a long way and wouldn’t want to take that credit away from myself. So now, I am patiently waiting for the right opportunity. After spending 14-15 years in the industry, I believe one film or one director can change the direction of my career.”
