Eisha, what unique things do you see about Navratri in 2022?
I feel the biggest and the most unique thing is that we are being able to celebrate Navratri after a gap of 2-3 years. If you look around, you will find positive sparks of energy around people, because everyone is super glad that things are getting back to normal. Touch wood! (smiles)
Are you more of a dandiya person or garba?
To be honest with you, I feel that I am a bit bad at dancing. But, I love to watch everyone dance dandiya and garba. At the same time, whenever I see them dance, mere pair na apne aap thirakne lagte hain!
Have you ever got hurt while playing Dandiya?
Yes! (laughs). I told you that I am not good with the dance. But, take my word for it, when you will be interviewing me next year for Navratri, I would have mastered garba and dandiya.
Have you learnt dandiya / garba from someone? Or you learnt it by seeing others?
I learnt it from seeing others dance. But in order to master the art of playing dandiya and garba by the next year (which I had promised you guys), I think that I should enroll for a dance classes which will teach me these two dance forms.
Which is your all-time favourite Dandiya song from Bollywood?
My all-time favourite song is ‘Dhol baaje…’ The moment I hear this track, it energizes my mind, body and soul.

Do you fast during the nine days?
Of course I do… but not every year. My mother told me that, in case I am working for 15-16 hours a day, it will become too much for my body if I am fasting. So, I fast on the days I am not shooting. To the best of my abilities, I make it a point to fast on the first day and last day of Navratri.
Do you follow the colour code for all nine days?
Even though I would love to follow the colour code for all nine days, there are times when its not possible to do it because of my work schedule. That’s why as and when possible, I try and follow the colour code, depending upon my work commitments.
What’s your take on accessories? Are you a minimal person or do you prefer a ‘quintessential’ Navratri make-up?
I am someone who loves accessories. The best part is that, I have a nice collection of accessories. That’s why I wear every possible ornament of mine during Navratri. As for make-up, I keep it minimal because heavy make up just doesn’t suit me.
