Given the overwhelming response that Wonder Woman has received, a sequel is a no-brainer, but director Patty Jenkins, who has been credited for the highest domestic opening for a female director, is yet to make things official.
Although Gal Gadot has an option in place for Wonder Woman 2 as part of her deal to appear in several DC movies, Warner Bros' decision to enlist Patty for just one film could end up costing the studio millions of dollars if the director drives a hard bargain for her return.
Patty, meanwhile, is going to work on a project for the horror streaming service Shudder, titled Riprore, soon.
