Coming from the house of Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment, the film has been a gamechanger of sorts. The critical triumph and commercial validation of Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy indicated the changing tone of Bollywood. Marrying conventional cinematic tropes with unfamiliar narrative, Akhtar and her team delivered a film that resonates with all of us.

The film also had superhit songs like Mere Gully Mein, Asli Hip Hop, Sher Aaya Sher, and many more, which are still ruling in the top playlist of the masses. The movie personifies the power of dreams and the beauty of self-belief, with it's international standards of filmmaking, which still resonates with the urban audiences.

Zoya, on the other hand has recently wrapped up the shooting of her next project, the Indian adaptation of the iconic comics 'The Archies'. The much anticipated film will stream directly on an OTT platform.
