Rumours are rife that Pasoori singer Ali Sethi has tied the knot with his longtime boyfriend Salman Toor in a hush-hush ceremony in New York recently. They're yet to issue an official statement

Ali Sethi is one of the few Pakistani artistes who has the power to blur boundaries and erase hatred with his melodious voice. He shot to fame globally with his Coke Studio song, Pasoori, in 2022. People across the world were mesmerised by the song and it continues to top the charts even after a year. Now, Ali is making headlines once again and this time it is for his rumoured wedding with Salman Toor.

According to unverified reports, Ali got married to Salman in a hush-hush wedding ceremony in New York City. They are yet to issue a confirmation. Reportedly, Ali met Salman during an art class at Aitchison College. It is being claimed that they have been in a relationship for quite some time now. Due to this buzz, Ali made it to the top trends on Twitter today.
In an interview with The New Yorker in 2022 Salman said he tried telling his parents that he was gay when he was 15. “They didn’t accept that,” he told the publication. He added, “They said, ‘You’re not developed yet, you just don’t know.’ ” Although both of them eventually came to terms with his sexuality, they did so, he said, more with tolerance than with understanding.
He also mentioned that Ali was one of his closest friends. "I think we were all trying to protect Salman. He was the most vulnerable one, because he didn’t have any defense mechanisms. I was the tallest person in the class, I was a teacher-pleaser, but Salman was guileless. When boys made fun of him, he couldn’t fight back,” Ali said.
Salman is a Pakistani American painter who was born in Lahore, Pakistan but he has lived majorly in New York. Ali is a renowned singer with songs like Chandni Raat, Chan Kithan and Dil Ki Khair to his credit. He was in news recently when his popular Pakistani-Punjabi song Pasoori was recreated for Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani's film Satyaprem Ki Katha. The Hindi version of the song had vocals of Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar. T-Series backed the recreation.
