Rajveer Deol’s debut venture, Dono, has Himani Kapoor render the track Khatt Mithiyaan. “I was called by Shankar Mahadevan sir for the song. I sang it and sent it to him, and he loved it. I got the chance to sing it in the presence of the trio [Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy], and Irshad Kamil sir. So, it was an honour and a moment of prestige for me. I did not feel pressured to sing it because they made me feel comfortable. I learned a lot about how a composer like Shankar sir conducts a dubbing session for an artiste.”

Having grown up with an appetite for films belonging to Rajshri Productions, Kapoor counts herself among the fortunate to have bagged an opportunity to sing for the production house. “This is a love song that focuses on the [seemingly insignificant] and small moments between two people who admire each other. It is a female-oriented one.”
