Designer Arpita Mehta is the latest guest on mid-day.com's wedding special episode of 'BTS Stars.' Speaking about how she started specialising in mirror work lehengas, Arpita said, "It goes back to when I was in school, that's when I had an inclination towards fashion but I didn't know it. I was always sketching. I studied fashion designing for three years, worked for two years and again reached the pivoting point, what next? I had to dig in deeper and think of what excited me! Coming from a Gujarati family my only memory of embroidery has been mirrorwork."

The designer now works with the biggest stars from Madhuri Dixit to the newer lot be it Kiara Advani or Ananya Panday. Opening up about working with Madhuri she said, "Every time I've met and seen her I've been in absolute awe. She's extremely kind and sweet. One of the country's top stylist's Anaita Shroff Adajania had sourced one of my piece's for her, that's when it all started. She loved it and then the sourcing requesting kept coming back."
Moving on to the new lot of actresses she said, "Everyone of them bring so much newness to our collections. We are also surprised at how they style the outfit and it looks amazing. They bring their own personality to the outfit."
Speaking about Ananya's look Arpita said, "She's wearing a blouse in gold, with a cream ruffle saree. It is something even I would wear, it is a easy-breezy look and a ruffle saree is simple but impactful."
