On the sprawling grounds of Jodhpur's Mehrangadh Fort, Jackie Chan and the Indian ensemble cast of 'Kung Fu Yoga' shot for an unusual Chinese song recently. "Imagine Bollywood music with Chinese lyrics. Jackie's sung it himself," co-star Disha Patani reveals.
In Disha's words, the song will be the most unusual thing India has ever seen. The actress elaborates, "This movie looks at India and its culture from an angle very different than most Hollywood films do. The song is its USP. It is a desi track in which Chinese artistes will swing to typical Bollywood steps. Farah Khan has choreographed the steps. Believe it or not, Jackie was most excited about it; we shot for it in Jaipur and Jodhpur."

For Farah, it was "the most incredible experience". "Jackie is great fun to work with and was quick to learn the steps. I had a ball shooting with them all." Answering an obvious question about the language barrier, she says, "Don't care about the lyrics, just groove to Bollywood music. Watching them do the thumkas was my favourite bit. Jackie's love for India was overwhelming and probably that's why he picked up everything so easily."
Disha agrees and adds, "He loves Indian culture and the food. He loves antiques and I took him shopping so he could purchase things he likes. We also went for a crew dinner to a fort restaurant overlooking a lake and we had a blast. Though their style of shooting is different from ours, the energy on the set was unbeatable. We shot for most action sequences in India too."

Will the film have an Indian premiere then? Disha says, "It is still being planned. But, if that happens, you can make Jackie sing a Hindi song. He knows a lot of Hindi words."
