Vaibhav Maloo, the Managing Director of Enso Group and son of Vinay Maloo, recently shared his insights on what it takes to succeed as an entrepreneur in today’s competitive world. In a candid interview, he outlined key principles that he believes are essential for new-age entrepreneurs to navigate challenges and establish themselves in the business world.

Maloo emphasized the importance of not getting distracted by external opinions and staying committed to one's vision. He stated, “People will keep talking, but believe in yourself,” stressing that entrepreneurs should not be swayed by rumors or speculation. According to him, success comes from within and requires a firm belief in one’s own abilities rather than seeking validation from others.

Another crucial lesson he shared was the need for resilience. He advised aspiring business leaders to “keep a thick skin,” recognizing that criticism and negativity are inevitable. Entrepreneurs, he said, must develop emotional strength to endure setbacks and opposition without losing focus on their goals. In an ever-evolving business environment, the ability to withstand challenges is what separates successful entrepreneurs from the rest.

Maloo also spoke about the importance of adhering to laws and regulations. “Laws are not meant to be broken, and if by accident you break them, do the punishment,” he remarked, underlining the significance of accountability and integrity in business. Ethical conduct, he pointed out, is a non-negotiable principle for those who want to build lasting businesses. Mistakes can happen, but taking responsibility for them is what defines true leadership.

In addition, he firmly stated, “Naysayers will want to keep talking because it makes them feel better”. With this remark, he highlighted how successful individuals often face scrutiny, yet their achievements speak louder than accusations. He encouraged young entrepreneurs to focus on their work rather than engaging with detractors, as success ultimately silences criticism.

Maloo’s perspective sheds a light on important aspects of entrepreneurship for the emerging entrepreneurs.  It reinforces the idea that resilience, ethical conduct, and self-confidence are key to long-term success.

Vaibhav has come out with InfoProfile with surprises being added there, as well as his second book An Indian Manifesto is releasing this year.
