The flight, operated by Azerbaijan Airlines, was traveling from Baku to Grozny in Chechnya, Russia. The plane had 62 passengers and 5 crew members on board, with only 28 survivors, according to Kazakh authorities. Russian news agencies reported the tragic crash, and drone footage showed emergency services at the scene, with the remains of victims visible. Russian President Vladimir Putin offered condolences to Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and survivors were taken to a nearby hospital. A government commission has been set up to investigate the crash and assist the victims' families.
