It seems the England batsmen will have to face another Tendulkar very soon. Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, is currently playing in the under-16 level and the youngster seems to be improving at a rapid pace.
England's right-handed wicket-keeping batsman Jonny Bairstow had an embarrassing moment when he suffered an injury while facing Arjun's pace bowling in the nets at Lord's ahead of the first Test against South Africa
In a report by the Daily Mail, the 27-year-old was hit on the foot by a yorker bowled by Arjun. The injured batsman hobbled out of the nets after facing just one delivery by the 17-year-old, who is a left-arm seamer. This isn't the first time the youngster has practiced at Lord's. The Jr Tendulkar was practising with England team since Sachin owns a property near Lord's.
As for Bairstow, his foot was initially put in a compression unit to relieve pain. It was later revealed that it was merely a knock and England’s wicketkeeper is not in any danger of missing the Test.
