A car junkyard in Oshiwara caught fire yesterday. The fire brigade officials immediately reached the spot and doused the blaze.

The junkyard had many two, three and four wheelers, which had once been seized by the police in various cases. Though the vehicles were gutted but nobody was injured. Around 85 vehicles were kept at the land measuring 15,000 sq feet near Anand Nagar police station. The reason behind the fire is still unknown.


“We received a call about the fire at 3.15 pm. In order to avoid it from spreading further, we immediately sent five fire engines and within half an hour the fire was controlled. No one was injured in the incident,” said a fire brigade official.
