19-year-old Deepika Kumari tamed Beijing Olympics gold medallist Hyun-Jung Joo 7-3 yesterday in the semi-final of the Archery World Cup Stage-I.

Deepika Kumari one step away from gold medal

Deepika will now take on Ok-Hee Yun in the women’s individual recurve final. Earlier, Deepika, partnering with Jayanta Talukdar, also made it to the final of the recurve mixed team event after downing Mexican duo of Aida Roman and Juan Rene Serrano.
