While Australian Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce turned out to be a New Zealand dual citizen, social media users are joking about what Amber Heard and Johnny Depp might think.
And, Amber Heard 'heard' the users and appeared to have been delighted by the news that Joyce may be ineligible for office, after it was revealed the Nationals leader holds dual New Zealand citizenship.
She took to her Twitter and shared an article, which she captioned as, "When [Joyce] said 'no one is above the law' I didn't realise he meant New Zealand law."
The actress did not stop here and continued to make jokes about the incident and posted a photo of a box of kiwis.
Alongside photo, she wrote, "To comfort Mr Joyce in his hour [of] need, I have sent him a box of New Zealand's finest kiwi fruit (assuming this passes his biosecurity laws)."
This response comes as Joyc targeted by Heard and his former husband Johnny Depp for failing to declare their dogs, Pistol and Boo, to Australian officials in 2015.
Mr Joyce had threatened to have the dogs put down, prompting Heard and Depp to release a stilted apology video for defying the bio-security laws of Australia.
In April 2016, Heard appeared before the Queensland Magistrates Court and received a good behaviour bond after she pleaded guilty to falsifying travel documents to sneak Pistol and Boo into the country without going through quarantine.
