Summer and mangoes are match made in heaven. Recently, we stumbled across a reel demonstrating how to make a five-ingredient mango kulfi bite. It turned out to be delicious. These small kulfi bites were cute and a perfect blend of malai and mango flavours which was complemented by rich and nutty essence. The ingredients are milk, deseeded and soaked dates, immersed cashew, and pistachios along with saffron for garnishing.

Ladies special
Historian Romila Thapar busy at her computer, writer Shanta Gokhale poring over notes, Toni Morrison’s messy desk at a publishing house all find a place in the Instagram page A Woman In The Study—an attempt by writer-editor Maanvi to document women at work. A crowdsourced project, it also features personal contributions from women who work across sectors, from their homes and in offices. We’re treated to details about adorned desks with plants and photographs, as well as meditations about ambition and identity, undoing the age-old idea that only men brood and work for long hours in studies. A digital manifestation of writer Virginia Woolf’s A Room of One’s Own!

The game of cards has forever been an event of bonding and a pastime among friends and family. But very few pay attention to the materials that go into making them. For generations, these cards have been made of plastic which not only uses tons of fossil fuels but also heaps into landfills, when thrown out. Bare Necessities have come up with a sustainable solution to cater to these environmental concerns, without hampering the joy of these cards. Their Playing Cards’ Zero Waste Edition is made of recycled paper along with fun and insightful illustrations on each card, bridging the gap between sustainability and having fun.

A feathered friend
Our four cats are unique and different in their own peculiar way and we love them for it. With our busy schedule, a cat toy is often the only way we can engage in an activity with them, but off late they had lost interest if the same toy was used for long. A bit of Googling led us to this toy that has 11 attachments to the cat pole/rod. While the usual feather attachment is great to get their attention, we are seeing the cats especially react to the tiny worm-like attachment. The cats get into a predatory mode and wiggle their bottom side to side, before launching off to catch the worm. This has definitely their aggression and behavioral issues.
