As per their existing health and condition, Dr Chhajed’s treatment could include the use CPAP and BiPAP machines that help the patient breathe better while sleeping. These machines enable a Positive Airway Pressure Therapy, which uses compressed air to open and support the airway. Though most patients tend to be 65 years old or above, Dr Chhajed says sleep apnea can also afflict young adults.

RECOMMENDED BY: Y Hari Subramaniam, says, “I used to snore a lot, and every morning, I’d feel tired even after a rested sleep. After a few tests that Dr Chhajed asked me to do, I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. He suggested I use a machine to breathe better. My sleep has improved since then.”
