Bhat and her colleague Srionti Maitra, conduct workshops on underrepresented regions of the world as part of The Traveling Thali series that covers a country or region. There are about four to five sessions, each covering one or two learning topics such as language, religion and philosophy, history, travel, art and architecture, literature, climate and produce, and one associated dish. Beyond the sessions, they also share a kit of resources such as music, books, movies, and shows, for additional learning, to help people truly experience another culture and remove assumptions and biases about it.
