The 20-year-old self-taught musician from Cuttack, Orissa, has been writing, producing and singing his original compositions since the age of 14. Alternate rock and Bollywood pop are what come easily to him and now, the musician is all set to delve into a unique form of music.

“Currently, I’m working on a concept that I call cinematic music. It’s a mode of storytelling. The point is not to make a fusion but to emote a story in an audio-visual format,” Mishra informs us. Currently, he is in talks with artistes and companies to give a definite shape to his musical concept.

Mishra moved to Mumbai two years ago to pursue a course in audio/sound engineering. He has composed music for a couple of short films and documentaries including Project Tyler that was screened at the Mumbai International Film Festival this year.

“There are a couple of gigs at blueFrog in the pipeline,” he tells us. And what about Bollywood? “It’s definitely on the agenda but I feel there is still a lot I need to learn and experience as a musician before I step into it,” says Mishra. Like we said earlier, this guy knows exactly where he’s headed. Good for him!
